Forums - Nintendo - Another Switch Launch Title (plus more)

Wii U launch was awesome. I had a Wii as my only 7th gen console. When I picked up the Wii U, most of those games were new to me. I still have my Wii U and I'm getting Zelda on the Switch. My father has a Wii U, he's getting Zelda on the Switch. Three of my friends are getting Switch, just for Zelda.

I wouldn't call it awesome, but it was fine.  It really just lacked a tech show piece, a tragic outcome of a fallen through deal with Criterion (one of many, many points of failure in Nintendo's elaborate Wii U plans).

What deal was that, if you don't mind me asking? And I thought it was. I mean it had batman, COD, New super Mario bros, assassin creed, FIFA, tekken, warriors, darksiders, ninja garden, zombi U, etc.

They were hoping to have Criterion create an F-Zero game for launch.  Criterion was unable to dedicate the needed resources to get it done.

Also, yes, it had the usual 3rd party suspects but then again, it launched in the holidays, so that isn't surprising and in fact expected.  And some of them were ports of old releases, like Arkham City.
