If it is paid, it would be part of the paid online package

I assume that what they mean is that you have to be subscribed to their online service to use the full version.

Though, giving Nintendo the benefit of the doubt seems like a pretty easy way to end up dissapointed.

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Oh my god is right.  Doesn't bode well for their online experience if in 2017 they can't even have it ready for launch.

@ OP

Hopefully, this just means it'll be limited for those who don't sub to their online.  If you have to sub AND pay for the app, even if its $1-$5, that's bullshit.  Wouldn't surprise me.  Nintendo seems to want to gouge people this gen.
