Not a chance.

The contract that EA has with NFL requires that they release the games on any viable platform. I assume the same is the case for Fifa and so on. So, even if they had their own console, they would have to either release their sports games for multiple platforms, or lose their deals. The same would be true for basically any licensed product they had.

So, there's just not much motivation for EA to get into the hardware business.

Guys. Having one platform doesnt mean it has to be exclusive. All of EA's game can exist in other platforms just like Mictosofts Minecraft.

Nope, nope, nope. Not gonna happen. If MS drops out, maybe Amazon or Apple might try to squeeze themselves in to the market, but even that's highly doubtful

... Well yeah. The Last of Us and Super Mario Odyessy can exist on any other platform too. Question is why would you do that if you are trying to sell your console? 

Would Microsoft even be willing to sell it though?
