OK so I recently posted a rather jaded thread saying I was done with playstation and Xbox. Got a fair bit off stick for my opinions IE kinda done with the whole FPS, Cover based TPS and Open world games that dominate PS and XB
So thought Id post a more positive thread based on best memories of games from the distant past. Get involved and post yours too it may remind us off times long since past or not so distant. I've listed the games in a roughly by date oldest to newest.
1. Alex the Kidd. 1st console game I ever owned here by default
2. Secret of Monkey Island 1-3. Spent countless hours with Guybrush threepweed and Co. Timeless masterpieces IMO
3. Warcraft 2. Spent hours on this as a kid gathering resources and shit. Loved it along with C&C
4.Goldeneye 007. Best game ever. Period. Aged horrible though but nothing has come close in terms of sheer enjoyment. Late night 4 player death match until late night was the shit
5. Legend of Zelda Ocarina of time. The first sorta open world game I ever played. Was epic back in 98.
6. Banjo kazooie. Best platformer ever created imo.
7. Metal gear solid. That sniper scene. Up there with Oot for game of the generation.
8. GTA3. A fully realised 3d living and breathing city. Actually prefered VC but as GTA3 came first put this one. Faultless back then.
9.Medal of Honour frontline. That beach. Those graphics. Amazing back then. Tied with 007 and MW2 for best FPS of all time imo
10. Oblivion ( 360 version) another game that total blow me away in terms off scale and size.
12. COD MW2. My introduction to Online FPS. Flawless.
11. TLOU. That storyline. Those cutscenes. That ending.
12. SM3DW. Not laughed so much playing a video game since Monkey island 3. Me and the kids had a blast playing through this game.
OK so theres a few that came to mind. Hopefully now people will see I'm not just a Nintendo fan boy even though I have a link Avatar
