If this truly were Nintendo's goal with this system, they wouldn't have had such pricey accessories! You want to have an extra pair of joy-cons? That'll be $80. Want a pro controller? $70. That's not very local multiplayer friendly.

Thats the point of why they are so pricey :P

They know people will get those accessories to enjoy local co op / multiplayer games, reguardless of price.

That's so sneaky and greedy!

I agree that it is a shame that local co-op is slowly disappearing; it's how I game almost 50% of the time, together with my wife - it's great! I love it. But that doesn't excuse Nintendo's pricing of their products. Me and my wife won't be buying two Switch's, and if we had kids we wanted to play with, we'd have to buy more than just one more controller for all of us to play together. A Wii U pro controller is $50, and a wiimote and nunchuck together is $60 - so why is Switch's extra controllers so much more expansive?

Think about it, having up to four controllers in your house will cost you 80€. Two bundled with the Switch, and two controllers you can purchase. If I wanted, for example, four DS4 (which is pretty much useless for me right no, but still...), it would cost me 180€. One DS4 bundled with my console, and three extra DS4. I think it's obviously cheaper.

I won't deny you that things are overpriced (the Pro Controller and the dock being the most unbearable). But like Veknoid said, it's just 10€ above the usual.

Yeah, I guess that's true, and you probably only need 4 joy-cons since very few games will be featuring 4 peoples using 2 joy-cons each... I'm still butt hurt though :P

By the way, Arms is being produced by the guy who directed Mario Kart 7 and 8. This might turn out to be a better game than most of us are thinking.

The fact that I know if I miss a release stock of it, I won't be missing out on anything excites me.

Also, the fact they are making a budget Xenoblade makes me hopeful for a cheaper game than $60. Kind of an exciting thought.

From where you took that Xenoblade Chronicles 2 was a budget title?Just because of the artstyle?

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Breath of the Wild looks great still, but I will get that, at first at least, on WiiU. So I can't count that.

Beyond that, as you've probably read here and there, the Switch is a dud to me and doesn't have much to be excited about. Of I have to pick something though, I'd definitely pick Super Mario Odyssey. Like I said elsewhere already, I'm kind of conflicted about though; it's open like Mario 64 and Sunshine, that's what I want, I like the name and obviously that studio has only ever made stellar games, but on the other those realistic surfoundings gives me a Sonic '06 vibe. But yeah it'll probably be good.

I would say Breath of the wild, but since I can (and probably will) play that on WiiU, it has to be Mario Odyssey.

Excites most is not really a good way to put it, more like biggest reason to get a crappy console I wasn't really waiting for :p As someone who doesn't care the slightest about playing on a handheld, it has nothing but negatives as a console experience.

I found the realistic setting out of place for a Mario game, but it´s just one area among several others, the rest shown in the trailer were the typical fantasy lands, and yeah, the studio working on the game is one of the most talented around.

Super Mario Odyssey and Zelda BotW.

1. The games: Splatoon looks great and I welcome all the new additions it's bringing. Mario Odyssey looked AMAZING and haven't this impressed with Mario since Mario 64. I can't WAIT to play that!!! Xenoblade 2 looks weird here and there, but another XB? HEEELL YEEAH! I'll take that happily. I love Fire Emblem, so seeing FE Warriors has be excited! If it has characters I love, I am definitely on board. Some 3rd party games have me excited, like the Shin Megami Tensei game and the Square Enix game. So gamewise, I'm getting excited for what's coming this year and hope there's more to come. Oh yeah, Zelda: Breath of the Wild. My blackout will end soon, and I CAN'T WAIT TO DIVE IN.

2. The portability: It's also very exciting that I could take this with me where ever. If I can just get a case for the console and controllers, and a charger for the console, I'll be ready to take this whenever I go out.
