Forums - Gaming - Is It Me Or Zelda On Switch Looks Significantly Better Than On Wii U?

Am I alone on this? I mean, the base is still the same, but I noticed much less aliasing, more fluid gameplay and the scenes were just smoother/prettier overall!

Like, take a look a the recent trailers from Wii U and compare it to the Switch version.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

You are alone on this. No one in the world is gonna agree with you. Only me, but in secret. If someone ask, I'd say the Switch version looks better. So yeah, you are alone on this.

Dude look at the Nintendo video on youtube, it's in 1080P, do yourself a favor and check it out.

It runs better. I don't think the assets are improved, but the framerate is much more stable, and it wouldn't surprise me if it has better anti-aliasing.

Oh lord, please don't start a thread like that, the "am I alone" thing is so played out.

OT: It doesn't look that much better, in my opinion. I'm still underwhelming with the visuals and that foggy look it keeps going with. The faces of Zelda and Link looked jarringly static at certain points but the animation of Zelda crying was pretty good. The trailer was carefully curated but I think the game will run fine, it doesn't seem THAT visually demanding.

It looks about the same, the framerate is better on the Switch but the graphics should be about the same

I agree about the aliasing part. I didn't notice as much jaggies as before.

Have they mentioned when the Wii U version is coming out? We know the switch version is March 3, but is it confirmed that it also applies to the Wii U version?

EDIT: Nevermind. I just watched the trailer again and noticed the Wii U logo next to the Switch logo at the end of the trailer. Move along.

I'm not trying anything, I'm just sincerly curious if other people noticed the same as me (less jaggies, better framerate, etc) or if it was just me tripping. No reason to be rude.

Sorry, that "am I the only one" just gets under my skin so badly, but on OT, I'm not seeing much diffence but I have yet to do any side-by-sides so I could be wrong. I'm surprised nintendo didn't put a "Trailer reflects gameplay footage of Switch" disclaimer or something like that, unless I missed it.
