At that point, I'd just bring to pro controllers. The entire point of the joy cons is that they are easily portable.

I feel like this is going to be the least used feature on the Switch and no I won't be buying them. I will just buy more actual controllers if I need them for multiplayer.

That was what I was thinking. How would your thumbs reach the ABXY buttons? But the Joy-Cons are a lot smaller than people think. The grip part that looks like a full size controller is probably half the size of one, so your thumbs can reach the buttons easily.
