Resolution was set to 4k (DSR) automatically, which is fine, and it looked nice and played fine

Not my thing, but one of my friends is really into this so I gave the demo a look

Tried it.

Seems better than Zestiria, but it's still a spam fest. Except now you can make longer combos by doing a switch character launcher. Characters seem more interesting aswell... but the skits, while much better, are cheap. If falcom, a much more modest developer, can animate all their cut-scenes on Trails of cold steel, i don't know why namco is still feeding us this 2D art stuff.

Looks like something that will get boring fast, much like the other recent entries.

The return to stages, rather than having the fight on the field was a good decision. If only they would back-paddel on so many others aswell.
Anyways, it will probably land near Xillia in terms of quality, wich is mediocre, but it's the best the series can do nowadays.

Maybe we will be lucky to get a Vesperia PS4 remaster next. That would be much better than these low budget, low quality entries.
