Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Official Switch Event Thread (3 days To Go)

The Switch event is an event to unveil the details of the Nintendo Switch a gaming system that previously had the codename NX, like previously Nintendo platforms the system continues the approach of having a distinct concept, in the Switch's case the concept is that of a hybrid system that allows the device to be both a home console and portable system.

Confirmed Switch Games:

Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Dragon Quest XI

Project Sonic 2017

Dragon Quest X

Speculated Games:

Monster Hunter

Given the portable nature of the Switch and the series domination of the portable market the franchise is pretty much expected to show up on switch, whether the upcoming enhanced version of Generations becomes the first game to do so or a new ground up game remains to be seen.

Skyrim Remastered

Was shown in the unveil of the platform so is expected to make it to the platform

Splatoon Switch

Much like Skyrim this was shown in the unveiling.

Mario Kart Switch

Pikmin 4

Has been rumour to be in development since the 3rd game.

Mario Switched

Shown in the unveil, expected to be on the platform being a mainstream first party IP.

Beyond Good and Evil 2

Rumoured to launch on Switch first due to a deal with Nintendo and Ubisoft.

Platinum Games Project

It's been rumoured PG and Nintendo are at it again with another project, PG and Nintendo actually go way back to the Wii era where they had behind the scenes talk which Nintendo contracted them to create a first party IP which later became the cult favourite Wonderful 101 when the deal was finalized. This partnership also lead to the rescue of the Bayonetta franchise, due to the unfortunate situation with Scalebound (a concept that was originally a Wii game as well) PG will be free for development of more projects.

Dont we already have an official thread for the event?

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."
