Yes, Switch will allow you to expand the storage via sd cards just like 3DS does.

Its a pain in the ass on PS4/XBO because they have mandatory installs and the big games take up a ton of storage (50gb). Switch will not have mandatory installs and games will have much smaller file sizes.
