Maybe someone wants to review that moderator tag before he embarrasses himself even more. Or am I about to get jailed for criticizing the website for a feature that does not work how it's supposed to?

Come on vivster, you know that this site is a mess. Talon is trying to fix things, but we should understand if it takes some time to tweak things. I think the right way to go is to thank him for the effort he puts in, and then come with a few suggestions that could make it better.

The problem is he takes it personally when it's not meant that way. I never criticized his effort. I criticized that compared to other forums this forum is seriously lacking.

And instead of admitting that and vowing to make things better he goes full aggro and starts calling me names.

I have made many suggestions in the past but the best thing would be instead of fixing this mess to just completely switch the platform. Sorry that you won't get a trophy from me for putting a band-aid on a pile of corpses.

I mean the only reason the website and especially the forum is looked at at all is because of complaints. So I'm going to continue to complain like many other people in an effort to improve things.

He is making things better. You even told me before though that they're "friendly jabs" I believe, so if they're jabs, how are they not meant to be taken personally?

Unless he coded this forum from scratch how would he take it personally? As far as I understand he was added to the team to improve this website. So he should be well aware of all the problems and also should not take responsibility for the state it was in when he got here.

Unless of course he is responsible for the whole site in which case I should increase my efforts to complain.

edit: Just noticed he has been here since 2007. I don't know how long he was an admin though.

edit2: I'm really interested on how this will go though. I heard the site really frowns upon calling people names. But can you even ban an admin?

You were talking about the time stamps, a feature that he implemented specifically.

Ok. Let's just take that then. I criticized that feature for not working as it is intended. An absolutely rudimentary feature. He admitted himself that it's just a minor thing that it can't possibly be lacking in his absolutely condescending tone. Yet it doesn't work properly.

I admit I could've stated what exactly was wrong with it but I already mentioned that in the original thread about the feature so I didn't bother.

And now he comes and attacks me because he can't take criticism for something that he did and that is not working properly? And I am not allowed to criticize it because....... he made an effort and failed?

Please.

And still, the fact that the feature isn't working has probably more to do with the horrific platform than his ability to code. Which I assume isn't his fault.

I've given him a lot of suggestions, and have told him about many errors/possible fixes. It's not stating the issues that's the problem, it's the way you said it.

I said the feature is great but lacking.

That isn't even snarky or condescending if I wanted it to be. It's a simple observation and if you look closely there is even a praise in there. Then I said a lot of things on this website are  lacking too. Which is another observation that he and everyone else on this website should be well ware of.

That is all I said. What he read into that isn't my problem. I'm not responsible for how people warp my words to better victimize themselves.
