2017 is almost upon us. For some, it was great. With brexit and Donald trumps vote into office, we finally bested the establishment. For others, it was a disaster, and see a very uncertain future ahead. Russia is more powerful than it had been in decades, and is on the verge in not only beating America in the Middle East, but may have even influenced their election. We also saw the death of my celebrities, the last few days have been even harder on us. Gaming also saw some ups and some big downs. We saw some great game likes gears 4 and uncharted 4 and battlefield 1, all relatively moderate successes which many enjoyed. We also saw the big flops, like titanfall 2, watch dogs 2, battleborn, Homefront, and many more who unfortunently where squashed in the purge of 2016. We also saw the hype train go too fast for no mans lie, and it finally derailed and shut Sean murrays mouth for good. COD saw another year of set backs, with IWs trailer being the 2nd most disliked video on YouTube, and with sales down over 50%... what a year. And also we've been waiting 10 years for HL3, I mean come on! Hopefully 2017 is better, though I said the same thing about 2016 as well. Well I know one thing, I will be getting drunk for sure this time!

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

The year had some good stuff, but it was mostly a rough year.

Not only am I a Ninendo fan, but I also happen to be an American Liberal fond of pop culture. The elections and deaths of everyone from Christopher Lee to Gordie Howe were brutal.

The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?

Celebrity deaths really made it suck ass, and Nintendo was awful, but those doesn't matter too much.

Pokemon Go was a fun fad, Rogue One was one of the best movies I've ever seen, Trump beat Hillary, and a lot of good stuff in my personal life happened so all in all I'd rate this year a 7/10.

Switch is automatically gonna make 2017 better though :)

EDIT: Green Day's Revolution Radio also kicked ass as well

Might sound controversial but celebrity deaths masked alot of more important happenings in the world whether good or bad, at the end of the day they are just deaths of single people, they're no different to any other death except those celebrities lived very privileged amazing life's up to their death. I find the deaths of hundreds of children in Aleppo that's been happening much more harder to take yet hardly anyone in the Western Hemisphere even thinks or knows about it. The images I seen are heartbreaking.
There's also been a lot of positive things that happened in 2016.
