Damn, you just reminded me when I bought Dead or Alive Xtreme 2 for 360, like the horny teenager I (am) was.

Gotta give kudos to Tecmo for being ballsy when it comes to marketize their boobies, but yeah, considering they didn't localize Dead or Alive Xtreme 3, there would be bound to be backlash.

Know your audience, and don't be ashamed of your product. Its a great commercial.

I don't know if they still do this, but on network TV at night they used to advertise Girls Gone Wild. This in a similar time slot would not have raised any eyebrows. Also, slow your roll if you are trying to play this off as a 'Good ol Days' straight white male thing. You are NOT being oppressed.

Just imagine the constoversy an ad like this would cause nowadays. All the complaining and bickering from every region of the web...

1. The OP is female, so pretty sure she isn't going to complain about the straight white male part.

2. It is pretty clear that the intent behind the question isn't asking about it airing during the GGW type hours but rather in primetime where news sites would jump all over it.

3. In today's market just the fact that this is a video game and not a movie would lead to it being crucified in the media.  Hell, some news stations still cover games like GTA and The Witcher as though they are satanic rituals designed to steal your children.

I wish I didn't have to imagine it. Wanted DOAX 3 on the Vita and PS4, but the combo of very high prices and not liking to have video games delivered put the kibosh on it. That they are both widely considered to be garbage helped me to get over it. I legit liked the 1st one, but on a critical level the series has been on a steep decline. Played this with lots of people. One friend was CLEARLY shifting his junk around in a manner reminiscent of the commercial.
