I haven't played this yet, (no Ps4 yet) but every complaint I have heard or read of the game so far boils down to: 'It behaves like an actual animal, ergo the AI sucks!'. When what I've seen of the game tells me that the AI is actually pretty amazing and it reacts the way it does, by deliberate design.
You may like the design decisions Team Ico took or not, but it's definitively a design choice, not a programming shortcoming.
I, for one found what I've seen so far amazing, and occasionally hilarious, but I get if someone wanted something else out of their entertainment.

I don't quite like that this places more blame on the player, rather than the game. Perhaps the games has some flaws and just chip it down from being a perfect game. I don't think it's as simple as saying it's because 'you don't like animals' or it too embarrassing for people to know you like this sort of game.

Its time now, SuperNova :D The biggest games flood is coming 2017 for PS4 :) From the end of January. Alone the first 3 months are the madness and that is just the beginning. And then you can play The Last Guardian - if you like themes like friendship, animals and emotions =)

I knoooow. I was going to get one for black friday or christmas but i had some stuff I had to pay for suddenly, so no Ps4 for me this year. :(

Maybe I'll find a good deal early next year. I usuallly don't buy consoles before they have enough games that I consider must-have, but the Ps4 passed that threshold a while ago for me.

Honestly, if my life was dependent on finicky AI that determined whether my cat remembered to catch me as I fell through the air or got bored and started licking its own butt, I'd probably start hating animals too.
