Grand Theft Auto V Has Sold an Astonishing 6 Million Units in the UK

Holy moly! Grand Theft Auto V has just smashed the six million units milestone in the UK alone, and that staggering statistic doesn't take into account digital sales. Chart-Track revealed the milestone as part of today's UK sales charts update, noting that the title first launched on 17th September 2013. That means that it's been in the best sellers list for a whopping 170 weeks – and usually towards the top.

It's worth remembering that the title originally launched on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, before later being ported to the PC and new-gen consoles. This has obviously extended the release's lifespan, though GTA Online – which continues to be supported – has also proved a major draw for many players.

yeh this is mad..

we won't get GTA till the year the PS5 comes out (on Ps4) i would guess so once again a year later they can port it to PS5 and again enjoy alot of double dips

And then another year later on pc for triple dips.  

 

These sales are just insane.  And with digital will be significantly higher.  Insane.
