I brought up the possibility of Stefl investigating, but also said there's a risk with trying to direct powers. Thinking about it, there's not much to gain from targeting Noctis over the target of Stefl's choosing anyway. Lynch or scan will be indicative of Blade's alignment. We can pursue a different lynch toDay, but only if Stefl manages the scan or enough people are comfortable with never lynching Noctis.(Cus he's not going to be killed at Night if town) Otherwise he's a distraction every day. Meanwhile, if Stefl can scan someone else toNight, then toMorrow there's an additional confirmed townie or easy lynch. So in that case, there's more information on the plate than if we don't lynch.

I don't see how a bunch of people dying will prove anything, unless you're refering to Stefl/Mr.P dying and flipping Town Psychic/Journalist. I would rather not explain what I think the odds for that occuring are.

It's not that I think there is actually another double voter or a different role that could cause a lynch sooner than normally expected, but you putting him at L-1 mostly ensures that if there's a lynch once Stefl votes then it is in fact due to him. Simply shoring up the confirmability.

I had thought I was clear that I was not proposing that we dictate Stefl's actions. 

I asked how the situation with Noctis can be resolved other than lynching and you hypothesized that Stefl can get a scan off. Generally speaking(as in scanning anyone at random) that won't mean much, so you [naturally] specify that if it's on Noctis it should return true alignment regardless of his role.

Did you propose what Stefl should do? No. Did you propose what he should do to resolve the situation without lynching Noctis toDay? Yes.

I wasn't even indicating that it's scummy to propose a plan for the powers, so why did you only respond to this part and not the rest of my post? Should I assume you agree with everything else?

I guess you actually wanted a response to whether you should hammer or not. As always I don't think Days hould end before discussion has run it's course. I know I want platina and axum to answer my question regarding Arm, and I'm sure there are other things left to be answered. While every response should provide some merit in the future, I don't believe they will have much bearing toDay.

So while I'm in no rush to end this Day, judging by the abysmal participation these last few days, people have settled on this lynch. A lynch that is "too easy" will usually raise a flag for me, but then again mafia won't usually do too much to try to stop a scummate's lynch after the guilty scan either.

Pretty much.  The only thing I'd like to highlight is the fact that my thoughts on this subject are colored by my perception of the town in general that they believe Noctis but are set to lynch him anyway "cuz miller".  Maybe I'm wrong about what everyone is thinking, but that would fit your "or enough people are comfortable with never lynching Noctis." 

What I described to you was a way that "the situation could potentially resolve itself" (i.e. Noctis gets cleared).  But that's not the only alternative to "Lynch Noctis."  There's also "Believe Noctis", although I can understand if people don't want to put that much faith in him.  But if the town actually decided to do this, it would not necessarily lead to a mess like we had last game, "a distraction every day".  I guess that also would count as "the situation resolving itself", but it's not what I had in mind when I wrote that. 

If it seems like I'm super wishy washy about whether Noctis should actually die, it's because a lot of it rests on what other people think of him. If he would be a big albatross around the town's neck like miller can be, then sure, we're better off without. But if there's a consensus that he's really for true town miller, that's a different story.

I was more waiting for someone to put out a request not to do it rather than an confirmation, anyway, I guess I'll just hammer, there was enough time to request a wait.
