Forums - Gaming Discussion - Mafia Round 75 - Persona Theme - MAFIA VICTORY

Now in any other situation, I would say next that I reaeeeeelly think it would be best to NoLynch. Random odds are against us; the less townies we lynch, the more Nights in game, ie more nights for PRs to get info, which is their job.

HOWEVER, Stefl wanting to lynch Mr.P regardless of him being inno really rubbed me the wrong way. You guys didn't seem to care about that, but I think it's pretty substantial.

not at all, Fuuka Yamagishi

And name claimed so easily too. You really wanted to put this out there asap. Smells like mafia safe-claim if you ask me. Remember last game, and how easily prof wanted his made up narrative out there asap? I'm getting the same feeling here.

While I agree with you on the PR soft claim feeling like the soft claim as mafia last round, I don't see any issue with the name claim. If mafia have safe claims then they're designed to blend in with town names. Why do you think a townie wouldn't want to name claim?

So I'm not the only one that thinks so. I'm happy for the change and hopeful he's town.

Other than your votes, I feel you've been playing very similar to last round. Are you aware of this, by which I mean is it your intent to appear that way?

Yes, I am aware D: I tried quite hard to emulate myself as town last game, which I deem pretty ez compared to how other players have their differences in playstyle

It's been far too long since I've seen you as town. Are you saying you always try to softclaim early, say something to draw attention(numbers last game vs the different teams this time) to yourself, and claim that your plan for scumhunting?

@bold, no I implied that whoever he is on a team with will lose because of him, if I am scum and I know he is a townie why the fuck would I ever want to lynch him? From my point of view that would be destructive (doesn't change that I am still mad about his playstyle last game tho) With all he did so far in this day he is proving me wrong, I am fine with him overall if he keeps playing like this (he contributed more in like 2-3 posts this game than he did in all of last game).

I use his/our/their/my/your very carefully in comparison to the town/scum, it is the easiest way to manipulate people verbally. With 3 people left using our over the town is basically a gold mine, hell it even can be with 5 left. his/her team is really powerful when you don't know their allignment and should not be used as scum unless you already successfully painted someone as scum, just because people will stumble in the logical falacy that you imply team segregation unintentionally, it can also be a very powerful spell cast on a team-mate when you are about to be lynched anyway.

Scum logic alert: we should lynch him even if he's town, because reasons.

I noticed it in Darwin last game, but never followed through. Not this time, though.

Why didn't you point a finger at Trucks for a similar vote?

Miz.

You do know that changing your play style Make a you look scummy, and that is a good excuse scum uses when, they know their pplay style has changed or when they know they cannot play the same as they did when town.

I will go with Noctis.

My scum list has MiZ for now. No one else yet.

Axum also decided to play different this game as well by the way. Why not him, I did say "yet".

Hey Final Fan, what do you think of Linkz and.......myself? You seem like regular FF this game, so I will attempt to trust you.

Do you disagree with FF, that Noctis's playstalye has also changed? What do you think of that?

I have a town vibe from Arminillo, though I won't be voting for a time limit any time soon.

I like to draw attention early, I also had those episodes of intense tilting. I already explained the mr.p thing enough.

@spurge:
I don't think "everyone" is very different, but why are you choosing to side with one person who's changed about another person who's changed. It's like your question for Axum, why not the other way?

I wasn't asking about the Mr.P thinkg, but since you bring it up.

Welp, I guess I'm caught up, though it doesn't feel like it. I dunno, I didn't really get many strong reads, but fuck it I'll post em anyway:
- Town: Arminillo, Zero, BladeSymphony, Noctis (unfortunately, he's playing the same as last game).
- Maf: I guess Stefl and prof maybe.

I heavily agree with Platina's portion of the post here; Stefl unintentionally implied (both in wording, and logic) that they are on opposite teams. Also, Stefl doesn't really care if Mr.P is inno, and want to lynch him regardless. Sound familiar?

Why would you as scum want to lynch him? You don't want another empty victory. You want people thinking you can't be scum again if you pushed his mislynch instead of using him for another win.

Similarly, the rest is WIFOM. Here's what you said about Mr.P's alignment. This only describes how he played one time, as town. And here's what you said when Trucks asked about other games. Still implying you aren't concerned about him being mafia nor giving any credit to his mafia play. Though when you gave him the MVP award in Round 73 you did say "no real reason," so maybe you thought that he had it easy?(yes zero lost that game for town, but I'd say Mr.P played great even if mafia had lost)

As I said early on, your vote for Mr.P would be a good way to get the same behavior from him if he's town again and that's how you truly expect him to play when he's town. You gave him no chance to be productive without any pressure. Then when he didn't play exactly the same way, you expectedly unvoted him, but also have a slight town read on him. He's not being useless town; therefore, he's town? It's like you're still not considering that he could be playing differently because he's scum.

I would say you did all of this knowing he's town the whole time and trying to play up your saltiness as town since you saw Trucks do the same, but I'm leaning scummates due to his weak reasoning for calling you town.

This is a random post.

Yes, should every post be answering someone or asking someone a question? Nobody's asked much of me, so I'll share my thoughts as I see fit.

Now care to answer the question I asked you at nearly the same time as this post?
