Forums - Microsoft - Almost half of you are using backwards compatibility on the One.

Pretty sure this doesn't need to be grounds for a console war debate :)

Also its a feature I've definitely made use of, just recently I completed the ME trilogy on XB1. Ran pretty well tbh, want to tackle Oblivion on BC sometime in the future :o

define take advantage. Is it using it once or making regular use?

It's whatever you want it to mean.  Keep fighting the good fight, Don.

The only comment I found that can be construded as downplay is: "no wonder X1 games doesn't sell good enough..."

The rest are fairly reasonable I think.

No fighting, just curiosity...

You attacked half the posts, so please give context.

And what are comments like this supposed to do exactly.. change their minds? Either engage in the discussion or don't. Don't sit on the sidelines taking potshots at everyone else while acting innocent.

Take it down a notch everyone, its just video games.

I use it. I love it! Over 100 of my games have made the list. I think I had like fifty games from the first wave of games.

Don makes a good point.  An example on the PlayStation side is that my wife has a PSN account, but the last time she used it was probably in the late 2000s.  I'm about to set one up for my soon-to-be 6 year old daughter.  She won't be using that one very much either.  Sony can use scenarios such as these to brag on PSN user numbers when the greater context dictates less substance than what could be interpreted.  Similarly to the BC usage of the One, this could also be the case.  I'm not saying it is though.  I'm taking the BC usage in better case scenario.  I'm just saying that you might be blowing certain post responses out of proportion.

Okay I will.

I remember when the BC program was launched.

The majority of people said it was unnecessary and wouldn't be used.

Now it's been confirmed that 50% of Xbox One owners have taken advantage of it!

That is likely somewhere between 12-13 million people.

That is awesome!

It's nice to see that Microsoft's hard work and continuous updates to the library are being enjoyed by so many people.

I wish Microsoft's competitors would adopt such an awesome program rather than charging us a monthly fee to play the old games we already own.

Keep up the great work, Microsoft!
