Controls: Switch looks flexible enough that it could allow a mouse and keyboard addon. Mouse+joycon would be great for FPS. Support for two mice/mouses for local multiplayer would be amazing. PC can have any input it wants. Switch has typical controller setup and looks like it might have IR, motion and touch. And it better have a d-pad option at some point too.
Price: Getting a good laptop for £200 isn't easy, getting a gaming laptop at that price is impossible. Used laptops with a GT 740m are still going for £300+ on eBay and that doesn't include any controllers. I can't see any other option to play GTA5 or Skyrim wherever you want for less than £200.
Portability/Screen size: These are inversely proportional. If you're playing on a 15-17" laptop, you're unlikely to be 'on the move'. If you're stationary then it shouldn't be too difficult to find a TV or computer monitor(school/work) to plug Switch in to. On the flipside, if you're short of space then Switch is the only option and is small enough to play on the bus/train without pissing off the person next to you and getting 3rd degree burns to your knees.
Dual use: Business/educational software that isn't browser based is extremely unlikely so the laptop is the only option for these. A generic photo/mp3/movie player is likely for Switch with dedicated apps for Youtube and Netflix. 5-8hrs battery (rumour) and the simple TV-out setup gives Switch most of a gaming laptop's media functionality and surpasses tablet/smartphone in some areas.
Games: Mods. No PC-exclusives for Switch and no Nintendo exclusives for PC (excl. emulators). PC has tons of indie support, often gets screwed on poor console ports but gets most if not all multi-platform releases. Like Switch, GPU-limits can affect gaming laptops depending on how much you're willing to spend. I don't know how powerful a 6-inch Alienware would be but I know it would cost a lot more than £200 (13" = £1250, GTX 1060 but only 768p screen, tut tut). Everything from past and present should be possible from a hardware perspective. Unlike the weakass PS3 and 360, Switch should be able to run Crysis (jk plz no ban).
Mulitplayer: Online is free for both, dedicated servers gives the advantage to PC. LAN/download play appears to be much simpler and cheaper on Switch. Splitscreen will be standard on Switch vs game dependent, mainly unsupported for PC.
TLDR: Switch can't be matched on price or portability, has Nintendo exclusives and local multiplayer as standard. Gaming laptop has huge support and established library with mods, dedicated servers, can also be used for business/education, has between equal to unbeatable graphics ($$$$ dependent) and better media capabilities with M/KB controls.
