Forums - Gaming - Vivendi now control 25% of Ubisoft

I have one question.  Is there even anything the guillemot family can do at this point to stop them?

Either they need enough money to buy over half of the shares, or they need to convince enough shareholders not to sell their stocks to Vivendi.

Source?

Also, how much does Vivendi need to be considered a full takeover? Because I don't know if they have enough money to buy 49% of Ubisoft.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

It's Ubisoft...let whatever happens, happen. They are the worst.

What would a browser need a game publisher for?

Yay -_-
Somehow Ubisoft may be getting a lot worse in the near future

Didn't they let Activision go? They may want to get those sweet gaming profits once again. If this takeover does happen, I think Ubi will push way more mobile games, as well as making yearly ACs once again.

Vivendi will likely win this one. I don't really care either way .

In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

They basically flipped Activision for a giant profit. Probably doing the same thing with Ubisoft. The thing is, Vivendi was super hands off with Activision and let them do their own thing. I see no reason why they'd want to change that with Ubisoft which is the French version of Activision.

I just want another Rayman.
