You're right that it's a massive improvement over the first one.  

Makes me excited to see how good dragon quest builders 2 will be.  

I loved the first one (got the plat). 2 looks like it it will be even better.

First game had so many issues. Only 2 mission types and the types I hate. Escort and Tower defense. So much UI on the screen I had like 30 percent viewing angle then on top of that when characters would speak huge speech bubble cover the screen taking up more screen real estate. Why do I need the bubbles when I can hear them? Why is that not a option to turn off. Why is this not a regular DW like game. Christ no Escort missions no Tower defense for fucks sake. I was so looking forward to it.
