Thought this was fairly big news!

Stardew Valley will not be coming to the Wii U, however. Looking at Wii U and the current gaming landscape, we made the difficult choice to shift our development efforts to creating a version for Nintendo Switch.  I am really looking forward to the Switch, and I believe that the Switch’s unique capabilities could create some exciting opportunities for Stardew Valley. I do want to emphasize that I am absolutely committed to seeing Stardew Valley on Nintendo platforms, and I really do appreciate your support and understanding in this.

What's this game?

Did they promise it would come to WiiU, or they like considered it at some point but never made further statements than that?

OP: I guess this is a sign that there really is some excitement about developing for the Switch. It's good, in a sense.

It's for the best.

I mean if you don't intend on getting a Wii U, then that would suck, but if you're going for a Switch then you're all set. As for me I own it on PC, but the prospect of being able to play the game on the move and then switch back to the main monitor will have me double dipping.

If you enjoy HM:FoMT, you're gon love this game. This is one of few games that i really want on a handheld. I also hope MarvelousAQL takes notice from this game

I'm actually okay with this, and hope that if Bloodstained for Wii U is canceled, I'd be okay with them moving it to the switch. Heck, that would be a bit of a plus, since it's be like 2 versions in one.
