the game is amazing. Just beat it tonight. I am guessing it took a little over 40 hours (Counter said 49 hours, but I AFK 2 times and PS4 does not sleep until 1 hour, and also other breaks).

I did fairly thorough playthough, but definitely not "competitionist". In "post game" I still see a few ? marks on the map, and I only rank 4 hunter (4/50, so barely).

minor spoiler tip- pay attention to the photos you choose, I got a little choked up a certain point because I had been saving them.

Ff15, 47 critics after one week.
Tlg, 53 critics after one hour.

Sorry, but it's weird. I don't see How reviewers could ignore ff15, the big game of november 2016.

Its to be expected one is an open world Rpg that takes weeks of playing to beat it , another one is problably a 10 to 15 hour game

Either like BraLoD said, FFXV takes too long and they need time to properly beat it, or critics didn't care that much.

Since there is a trophy to complete the game in under 5 hours I imagine most poeple will take something like 8-10 hours where as doing all of FFXV will be 70 hours it makes sense, Anyone who got there copy of TLG 2-3 days ago which reviewers did would of completed it by now and had a review to click "publish" well before the date they can publish.

3 reviews incoming today on meta all on ps4 :

I asked a friend who does review for a small gaming website.
He told me something interesting...
Many reviewers in the industry like to play a majority of the game before they release a review.
My guess is since this game is way longer then normal games (besides skyrim, fallout, witcher)I Don't think we have seen more of the reviews yet...given some people don't have 40+hours yet available to them to finish most of the game.

Game is now at 83 meta. It feels like a bunch of lower scores suddendly came out. Also, this game had a lot of marketing behind it on Metacritic prior to launch and during the first few days. The ads were everywhere I looked. Unmmmm I smell sumthin.

"Did you guys expected some actual rational fact-based reasoning? ...you should already know I'm all about BS and fraudulence." - FunFan, VGchartz (2016)

Updated. Now with 53 reviews and...the metascore changed.

It's now sitting at 83, one point below how it was before.
