Mines is busted. and I'm about ready to slam it on the ground.
What do you do when it won't connect or let you do a connection test.

Move the Wii closer to your router and push everything out of the way. If that doesn't work, reboot your modem and router. If that doesn't work, either re-install your router or give up.
Wear gaudy colours or avoid display. It's all the same.
Be warned, I will use walls of polysyllables and complex clauses as a defence against lucid argument.
Wand to read a creepy thread?
try going into wii connect in the options and create another connection then test...happen to me couple times that usually fix it

If its a wireless connection, check to see if you can connect wirelessly using another device (DS, PSP, laptop, etc). If you are using a LAN connection, again use a laptop to see if your connection is fine.

You are such an angry person.
When it doesn't go online, take a bath with it while it's plugged in, it just wants some love.
If that doesn't work, throw it in the oven afterwards, so that it can dry out.
If that doesn't work, go run it over with a car. It probably needs to be ironed.
Also if you have A/B/G wifi different devices such as cellphones or microwaves can interfere with the connection, make sure devices such as those are not around your router.
Has it ever connected?
I originally had issues due to my Comcast DNS servers. I have to go through the manual setup and set the DNS server to some I originally found in the Nintendo Forums. I believe I saw a thread here on this same thing a few days ago that suggest the same solution with a link.
Try making a lead tunnel and place your router at one end and the Wii at the other end. The wireless signal will be focused down the tunnel and guarantee a perfect connection.
