From what I've played your base stays there forever. I've even traveled to other Systems and when I returned to the location of my base it was there just like I left it.

Nice, I guess it has a marker so you can find the location on the planet again. Does it have a marker too in the galaxy screen, or is it up to you to retrace your steps.

Unless I missed it it doesn't, however returning to your Base is really easy. Every Space Station now has a teleporter which you can use to teleport to your Base. Once if you've teleported from a Space Station to your Base you can freely teleport between the 2, even if the Space Station and your Base are in different systems.

You also can craft a beacon so you can find your Base's exact location within a system if you're discovering different planets or are just traveling around the same planet.

happy for the people who bought No Mans Sky, seems there was truth in what Sony said recently

Ah great solution. Kinda immersion breaking while travelling yet I don't see any better solution. I still would have liked ship building instead of base building. Construct an ever growing space station to dock at and jump with to the next system.

I'll eat a rack of hats if that's not in one of the updates.

I don't think they will have ship building as they expect you to save up tons of money and buy them. being able to make them will make currency pointless.

All they have to do is make the objectives hard. Perhaps you'll have to fully upgrade your ship before you can do it for instance.

With updates like this it should have been an early access game

A similar texture is already being used for the new Weapons Terminal

So if these files are anything to go by it looks like we might be able to build Ground Vehicles in the future

I'm not investing anything in this until it's official. Data mining sometimes just shows us things that were planned but never made it into the final game. It would be nice though. The new content we've just got has given me plenty of new things to do and reasons to explore, and that's all I ask for in any game.
