The PC won't use GDDR5 as system memory, and don't forget to account for windows using more memory than PS4 OS. It's also about the system being enough until the end of PS4Pro lifetime, accounting for ps4 version being optimized better and PC games that will be developped with High end rigs in mind. I don't expect PC games 4 years from now to be build around ddr3 low frequency. |
it has more GDDR5 memory, more total memory, a faster processor and a faster graphics card it will be fine.
Remember the PS4 Pro shares the GDDR5 memory for CPU and GPU this also meens it shares the bandwith to it, putting a way higher limit on it, shared isn't always better because bottlenecks will appear much faster since its generally the VRAM that needs the mayority of the resources and the CPU is already quite slow on the PS4.
So your statement, doesnt have much value, start browsing some forums for people who test, build and generate benchmarks, yes the speed of the memory is important on the GPU but in 99.9% of the cases for the DDR3/DDR4 its just, the more the better and the speeds don't bottleneck the cpu, ever.
