Forums - Gaming - Favorite gaming twist

Games have a lot of shocking plot/gameplay twists, games like Life is Strange Bioshock keep this tradition alive. But it's not a new thing, this is something that games have been doing since the 80's. what's your favorite twist, in terms of gameplay or story?

My favorite, Obviously:

starts at 6:07

The music and the scenery, just wow.

1min 10secs. Better than Bioshock's twist.

Nov 2016 - NES outsells PS1 (JP)

Don't Play Stationary 4 ever. Switch!

When they revealed that Samus was female.
I was like... Woah, so I guess girl can do more than just cook, right?

Just kidding, obviously, my actual answer is Castlevania: Lords of Shadows when they reveal that Gabriel is Dracula and his entire journey its just for him to fall from grace and into darkness. Its interesting to have a main character that saves no one, becomes the main antagonist of the game, and still enjoy it. I mean, you can see that coming, but the way it happens its great storytelling. Plus, in a fanchise with 993741739 games its so fullfilling that they can still pull an original story they haven't tried before.

Then they went to create the atrocius Lords of Shadows 2 u_u

Bioshock 3... The baptism (at the end)...

Silent Hill 2... The true about James' Wife death

Soul Reaver 2... Ending (when raziel as a vampire, kills himself as a human, and set things in motion becoming full circle)...

Silent Hill 3... When Vincent said to Heather "so you see them all as monsters" referring to normal people. He then says hes joking, but I never believed him.

FFX... When Tidus realizes hes a dream being dreamed.

Cant remember anyother that surprised me as much as these.
EDIT:
Shadow of the Colossus... The ending

Xenoblade Chronicles

For those who played it know what I'm talking about, and yea, a certain twist was pretty predictable, but come on, it was still heart stopping if you ask me.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

I'm just gonna go with the obvious of "Would you kindly?"

Shulk being Zanza's vessel, or their world being ours after a quantum experiment gone wrong?

Former, that and Dickson being the bad guy's disciple.

Ah, alrighty. For me "Landmark: Saturn" and the realization that we were in our solar system, our universe, was the show stopper, combined with the later revelation about the Phase experiment, with Zanza and Meyneth being the scientists who set it in motion and Alvis the computer.
