Forums - Gaming - Very concerned about Nintendo Switch

Every game I hear about coming to switch is an enhanced version of a game... With the exception of Mario. That has me very worried and honestly not excited at all. I am all smahed, karted and splatted out. I played the hell out off all those games. I am incredibly bored of them now. Give me an entirely new one of those games with better graphics and I will be all for it. But I am not buying a new console for just enhanced versions. Furthermore it might be confusing to people when they see a system with a bunch of Wii U games on it. They might think it's just a portable wii u. And bam back to a repeat of the Wii U launch.

Pikmin 4, Retro Studio's new game and a new IP are also rumored for next year.

It seems to be about 50/50 of new games and enhanced ports.

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

It's the new 3DS that will get all handheld games from now. Still concerned?

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

I feel the same way honestly. All it means is I won't have to get it year 1. Was hoping for Xenosaga, and a trailer for Blade X2. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

I am giving it the benefit of the doubt that the January press conference will show more

But one way or another, considering that the wiiU didn't sell much, the reason for these enhanced ports makes sense. But if that is all it turns out to be + 1 or 2 new Nintendo games, I might be having second thoughts

"Furthermore it might be confusing to people when they see a system with a bunch of Wii U games on it. They might think it's just a portable wii u. "

It has a completely different name... And it will be marketed differently and not to mention that most stores won't have the wiiU games up for long when the Switch arrives. Also the fact that I doubt most people even care about the wiiU or even fully understand what the wiiU is. So I doubt confusion will be a problem this time.

Why would it be confusing when barely anyone owns a Wii U and barely anyone knows the Wii U Exist!

Dont worry though! January 12 is not that far away! I just bought TMS#FE to keep me busy!

Pocky Lover Boy!

The same thing happened with the ps4: new games but also a lot of remasters. Chill out, everything will be allright.

Im not a fan of these remasters either, but they are just a rumor for now. Lets hope Nintendo isn't that lazy and actually gives us new games.

3d mario
mario rpg w/ rabbids
sports/dance 2017 games
ZeldaBotW (sure its on two consoles, but its a new game and that pattern was a good thing on Wii)
Pokemon Stars
Dragon Quest games

Plus whatever gets announced in January.

Then you consider what is being called out for the THREE games that are WiiU enhanced titles.
MK8 - bunch of new tracks, items, fuctionality, racers, etc. This is a big DLC update and almost a new game.
Splatoon - bunch of new areas, items, likely play scenarios. AGain, big DLC type update and when we se the new play scenarios it may be also on verge of new game territory.
Smash (just rumor) - I have faith Nintendo will add a shit ton and introduce awesome new add-ons as the switch controls. (as well as BC to existing wiiu gamecube controllers)

Lastly, the biggest two rumor kingpins have said repeatidly that the first year software for NS was going to be really good. They are batting 1000 so far and I see nothing that suggests any other than stellar support.

The Legend of Zelda.
