Forums - Nintendo - Rumour: Splatoon packed with Switch, new 3D Mario and Skyrim on launch, Mario Kart 8 remaster..

1) Celda. That's a reason. On top of that TP was way way more hyped than TWW. Once again, Nintendo already said it. It's not that I made the info, Reggie himself told that.

2) The new content could be released as DLC for the Wii U versions. So yes, just ports with new DLC.

3) If what Laura mean was a summer release, she would have said it or used the same word as the MK port: "within the first three months of Switch’s launch". Instead, she is saying several months after launch. It is pretty clear what she means.

The Wii U ports remind me of how Capcom screwed the people who bought Marvel VS Capcom 3 by releasing Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3 just 9 months later. Nintendo waited a bit longer but they are doing the same thing, yet nobody calls them out.

That's not even a fraction of a fraction of "more games in its first year than the Wii U had in 4." I knew she was grossly exaggerating, even if this isn't the full list.

Yes, she was grossly exaggerating, now she is just saying Switch 1st year linep will blown away Wii Us 1st year lineup, and this list proves that.

Anything can blow away the Wii U's 1st year line up. It was historically bad. That's not an achievement.

I'd be pretty down with Mario at launch if it is the one shown in the Switch reveal. That game looked pretty dang sweet, and co-op mode would make it even better. Splatoon bundled with the console would be cool ,though I'm not that psyched for it... I'm still hoping for games other than the usual Nintendo ones to be in the launch line up as well.

1. Windwaker wasn't the only Zelda game I brought up. Ocarina of time (original and 3D), and Majora's Mask didn't exactly power N64 to victory either. Didn't really dispute the fact I brought up that killer apps don't need to be launch titles either.

2. There has been absolutely nothing in these rumors to suggest any of this content is coming to Wii U. Given Nintendo's focus is largely on the Switch now, that seems extremely unlikely. So until rumors or confirmed facts suggest otherwise, no. These are ports with brand new, Switch exclusive content. And if the rumors are to be believed, these games will have a LOT of new content.

3. You're right, it is pretty clear what she means: several months after launch. As in, more than 2, but not by much. That is LITERALLY what several means. You can look it up on the internet for yourself if you don't believe me. A little more than 2 would be around 3 or 4. That puts Zelda's release squarely in the summer, at the latest. There really isn't any other way to take that, unless you just decide to ignore what "several" means.

True, but this line up for now sounds great in any case.

I'll just say this on this part;

People aren't going to see "see new content" when these games are on shelves, they're going to see "old games". Having all these ports at launch is a bad idea, no matter how much they added. Perception counts.

Theres needs to be a mario at launch because Super Mario RUN is coming in a few weeks!

I'm not arguing the quality of the Switch line up. Merely it's quantity based on what Emily said.

1. OoT sold more than 7 million copies and its remaste almost 4 on 3DS. People were hyped for that game. Not for TWW. So once again. You can't compare TWW with TP as TWW would have never move any console with the hate it got prerelease.

2. What I mean is that the new content is like DLC that could be added to the base games on Wii U. So those are just ports, definitive editions. Not sequels.

3. Again. If it was summer or 3 months only, she could have said that. She already said that with Mario Kart. Why to choose a different word for both games. Clearly it is not coming as soon.
