When we talk about 3D Mario like launch title, people need to be aware that Super Mario Run is coming on mobile devices 15. December, and Nintendo will want to capitalize that like they done with Pokemon games after Pokemon GO launch.

Fans will forget about Zelda delays moment game is launched. User base depends mostly of how much is good and apeling platform itself, Switch will definitely have much higher user base than Wii U. Also you forgetting that Switch is aiming 3DS owners also and other people who didnt had WiiU, not just 13m Wii U owners.

To be fair Skyrim is remaster of old game and its already out on other platforms, IMO it's important title for Switch but definitely not key launch title, Splatoon remaster will be great game for evrebody who didnt had Wii U (imagine sales of Switch Splatoon bundle in Japan), new 3D Mario like launch title is very strong system seller and probably biggest Switch launch games but actually for now only new game for launch, definitely we will have at least one or two more new Nintendo games for launch and of course multiply other 3rd party games.

I doubt many fans will forget about the delays. I can see the Wii version selling higher than expected.

Even if you removed the entire Wii U userbase from the equation the's still 60m people left in the userbase to sell to, if we say that every Wii U owner has a 3DS that would still leave around 47m roughly the same amount as the SNES total which is obviously still higher than every console that came after it bar the Wii, in fact only Playstation platforms and the 360 have sold more than that.

A hybrid device tbh makes the portable side far more significant than the home console side, as troubled as the Wii U has been the portable side of things have been really good for 3DS owners.

Right now, as the market moves, every costumer counts for them.

Okay guys, these are rumours. We've seen countless ever since Nintendo opened their mouth about the NX. Now I'd like everybody to tone down a little and breathe, and wait for January 12th. It doesn't serve anyone or anything to panic, express your resentment or act silly while there has been 0 confirmation about whether these reports are true.

Btw a 3D Mario at launch is great. It's a big game and it will help sell the console as much as possible.

One rumour and everyone goes into meltdown OMG OMG WORSE LAUNCH LINE UP IN HISTORY etc etc. Do you really think NS is gonna launch with 4 games? i mean come on chill abit and wait for concrete info from nintendo before sprouting nonsense. Also if new 3d mario,pikmin 4, new 3d zelda mk8 enhanced, splatton enhanced, skyrim remasterd plus any other games that get announced isnt enough for you then thats fine. Go play something else. Rest of us will enjoying BotW and skyrim on long car journeys and shit!
