Forums - Gaming - Dead Rising 4 is not Dead Rising (CrowbCat video)

The guy is asked: "Will you still be escorting survivors" and he answers "Yes, but its better. Now you get loot from the survivors after you rescue them instead of just a thank you" Then you see a video where a survivor fights alongside you.

The guy who made the video writes "Cannot escort survivors"

What?

Ever played Dead Rising 3? Removed it. But WAIT, there's more:

The case you're quoting is even more atrocious than redirecting you to what they already did in Dead Rising 3. The dude is asked whether we're going to say more of "like people need to be saved, and they join your party".

Developer inmediate says "YEP", but here's the funny part, inmediately after saying "yep" he says exactly what survivors do in Dead Rising 3, which is thanking the player and taking off inmediately, which also mean you didn't escort them anymore. And then he goes, now when you help survivors they drop loot, as a recompense, before taking off inmediately yet again. You can even see in the video a snippet of Frank saving the survivor (don't be wrong, he's not fighting alongside Frank, he's getting saved as you can also notice by the huge prompt over that says you saved him), the survivor dropping the sticky bomb (i.e. loot) and inmediately taking off to the right, leaving Frank.

So...yes, no scorting. Glad I cleared up that one for you, right?

He does leave Frank, but stops and you get that indication over his head that you need to talk to him. We dont know how long he has been with Frank at that point.

I dont even know why Im arguing for signs of escorting in the game. It was the worst part of the original along with the time limit.lol Hope they removed it and maybe replaced it with some sort of mission you have to do like surviving an attack or finding an item they need or something like that. Because unless the A.I. is flawless, its just horribly frustrating when a survivor just gets stuck in something or keeps getting grabbed by zombies or just keeps slashing at thin air like they were in a fight when both you and them are low health and the timer is counting down.

We didn't need a confirmation that you were against the original core design of Dead Rising, to be honest. That much was clear through your first post, and the replies you gave afterwards. You trying to find flaws in a video that dennounces the core elements no longer being there and the developer no longer interested in them further cave into it.

It's something I already said numerous times back there. You arguing back gave it away. If anything, it's kind of cute and funny that you even tried arguing against it in the first place.

Wouldn't hurt if next time you're more... empathetic, though!

Poor Wrighto

This thing they're doing is breaking my heart. I would have prefer Capcom going the Legend of Dragoon route and never making a sequel, if this was to be the result.
