Well imagine what would've happened if all Wii U owners bought every game? Nintendo whould be swimming in millions and wouldn't even think of releasing another console. But the Wii U owners chose not to do that.

Real loyalty means putting money where your mouth is. For example people who buy the Switch at launch for $300. People like that deserve to play the new Zelda game on time at least as much as the non-game-buying Wii U owners.

You're right, but only if new Switch owner buy every Switch game for all Switch history. The moment one of them miss one, Nintendo should retroactively delay Zelda for the next platform hopefully more loyal buyers.

No problem. Just have to buy the next Nintendo console at launch to get it on time :)

Another Delay? Jesus... Will be odd to see a high profile WiiU title release so long after it's dead and buried.

"Are you sure this will be released next year?"

"Yes all the staff members are working together and doing there best!"

$10 says it doesn't actually launch until next Holiday, at which point they might just say FU to Wii U owners and not even bother with that version.

3D Mario is good and all, but BotW is what people want to play right now, it's what will sell Switches. Wouldn't be smart to have it miss the new systems's launch.

So this is why they lowered the initial Switch launch units...

I totally disagree with you there. I think they do owe a little bit of respect to Wii U buyers. And I'm still trying to understand how having Wii U owners to play the game first would be punishing the Switch early adopters.

Because they're forcing people to play the inferior version even though they already plunked down money to get the latest and greatest tech from Nintendo.

Wii U owners don't deserve anything. If they had bought more games Nintendo wouldn't even be forced to bring the Switch so early.

If Nintendo released more games and the ones we asked for, We U owners would have bought more copies. It's not our fault that Nintendo released a terrible library for the console.

Maybe they would've had more of an incentive to make those games if they'd seen higher sales for their existing great games.

I mean why are there only 7m sales for Mario Kart when it could be 13m? It's such a great game, yet half of Wii U owners chose to not give Nintendo money for it. Why should Nintendo owe them for that?

Great game but inferior to past MK games. Same with Smash, Mario games, only Zelda remasters, 2D games, etc. Why would I support a step down in quality? Why would I support games that nobody asked? How can I support games that they are constantly delayed and not even launched?

I don't think it would matter much.

Nintendo can shift 2million units at launch with 2D Mario and shovelware as launch titles tbh, its not hard to get hardcore enthusiasts and early adopters in launch month. 3D Mario is a big step up from 2DMario and Zelda will (hopefully) arrive right around the corner so there will be no slowing down of momentum.
