I expect that if Switch is successful, they will do their regular five year cycle and allow for full BC. This makes sense if they are keeping the same architecture.

Or they will do mid gen upgrades like Sony and MS are starting. I think it is a foul practice but if they have proper 3rd party support from the west, they might have to. If not then it is whatever they want to do. If they truly merge both console and handheld divisions, they can be successful doing their own thing. Not as successful, but profitable non the less.

Five year cycle is dead and cant survive in modern time, we will have mid gen upgrades that will play same games, something similar like PS4 and PS4 Pro.

We don't even know if mid gen upgrades will work, and you say 5 year can't survive?  PS4Pro is already a waste of money with some games running worse on it than the original model.  Other people like myself realize that it is a complete waste of money to buy a console at full price that plays the same games as the one I have.  If you already have a 4K TV it is still hard to justify, and those that don't would just be foolish to invest in a mid gen upgrade.

That said, you have no clue what can live or die in the modern age of gaming tech.  Only time will tell.

There's no evidence for this.  It's just being assumed.  Honestly, the Pro and Scorpio are likely the result of Sony and MS rushing the original PS4 and Xbone to market.  We may see it again next gen or we may never see it again.

I mean 5-6 year cycle without any console or upgrade in meantime, we will most likely see PS5. I Switch case I definitely seeing, Switch pocket in 2-3 years and Switch Home (that will be more powerfule Swith for console for just home playing).

A Switch Mini I definitely see coming in the future as Nintendo phases out the 3DS and starts directly targetting handheld fans with the Switch.  Wouldn't be surprised if in conjunction they start selling Joy Cons for the smaller model that have some more handheld-friendly design touches like redesigned analogue sticks.

A Switch Home I don't know about.  If the Switch base model is a big success and the eventual full bridging of the handheld and console market works well, I think they'll stick to the 5 year cycle, with the Mini models coming out on average 1.5 to 2 years in so you basically have a handheld focused upgrade every 5 years as well.

The most important part of this is....

in the year 2037, Nintendo is doomed

Hahaha. That's a good one!

OT: Nice. I'm expecting a modern machine from this partnership.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

There's more to the system or systems, that's obvious, the switch is the starting point of the new Nintendo. Also, Nvidia doesn't play around with their business.

Thats good cause ARM + Nvidia is a much better choice than IBM/PowerPC + AMD

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Not sure what this really means, but let's hope the Switch does well..

PS4 Pro isnt waste of money, they basically refreshing PS4 and give consumers more options, more affordable or more power one console. I think Nintedo will do something similar with Switch.

Actually Nintendo would from beginning offer Switch Pocket without dock and controller, but that would make confusion with whole Switch concept, but I definitely see them releasing Switch Pocket (smaller version of Switch for playing just on go, without dock and controller, for $100 lower price than OG Switch). I can see doing something similar for home console users, more powerful Switch that isn't portable and mobile. So basically having more different hardwares and options that or part of same platform.

That would not mean there will not be new generation of Nintendo and only Switch, but with approach like that, new generations becoming less important, and I definitely don't see making totally new platform only 5 years after Switch, more it would something similar like going from Wii/DS to WiiU/3DS, just in this case exactly same architecture (Nvidia+ARM) that will allow backward compatibility and same development method, with some new concept or idea.

They might not play around with their business , still this is the same Nvidia that said similar things about it's long term relationship with Sony , then suddenly decided it wasn't interested in console gaming, no money in it, and claimed  they rebuffed Sony , when the truth was they didn't have  anything  to suit the brief for a X86 powered PS4 using an apu and couldn't design one in the time frame.
