clearly gta is a multiplatform franchise and not an xbox franchise, RAZ, and gt5:P got release last week, AFTER the holidays.

I wonder how much the boost of GT5p will give the Ps3. If somehow Ps3 can significantlly close the gap in others (by the time of GTA's release) I can see it pulling out a better victory with GTA4 than it did with DMC4

First let's see if it will reach that level on the 360, it would beat Gears' 4.5 million hands down if that's the case.

Why aren't they considering a Wii or PS2 version? If the PS3 version considerably outperforms the 360 version in total lifetime sales after christmas and the PS3 install base shoots beyond the 360 install base as expected in 2008/2009 IMO there's a good chance for console exclusive development. The development of GTA V will take a few years, developing a 360 (and maybe PC) version made sense for GTA IV as they had nothing to work with for the PS3 when they started development.

if you compare the games that come out in both consoles you'll see that there is a clear winner and it isn't the ps3.

Yes I know that the game was released after the Holidays, usually sales decline after holiday bumps.

Actually CoD4 developers said Ps3 version was better graphics wise.
