Hint 41: A blue knight with a unique, unexpected weapon gives the name to this hit indie game.

Shovel Knight

Yup. I should try going with more vague hints

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

#42 Game Description: A fighting game that is regarded as the best version, despite having 2 sequels released after it. Is still played widely to this day

Haven`t posted any games here for awhile so I`ve got a bit of catching up to do...

Hints:
#44 This time there`s 4 kingdoms
#43 The 2nd outing for a certain well known platforming mascot
#42 A now defunt MMO set in space
#41 Strategy game with RPG elements set along time ago in Europe
#40 Still didn`t kill Halo, but was a fantastic sequel to a certain shooter

44: DW7

43: Crash 2?

42: Star Wars Galaxies?

41: Medieval Total War?

40: Killzone 2?

Around the Network

47: An RTS with castle building mechanics as its main draw. Featured fun ai matches that varied in difficulty by the personalities of the specific enemy ai.
Hint 2: Balance between Food, Weapons, Gold, Resources were very important to manage.

46: 1st game in a platformer trilogy. Goal seems to be to save your family, but you mostly get rich and beat people up.
Hint 2: You set people on fire or poke them with spiky horns.

45: 1st direct sequel to a RTS series that features tanks, teleportation, mind control, and more!
Hint 2: Einstein and alternate history timelines make appearances.

44: Warriors game that introduced a quick fodder killing mechanic for even more ludicrous mass killings.

43: Open World game set in a modern asian city.

No
Yes

You got most of them

Waiting for you to post so I can feel less awkward about reposting my spam.

Now I can answer some hints myself :P.

I would be surprised if 41 was actually Bladestorm though. Surely there are more that I am missing eh.

47: Stronghold? Only seen it on the Steam store and not played (but wishlisted) it, although sounds kind of similar.

46: Spyro?

44: Samurai Warriors 4? That`s hyper attacks right?

43: Sleeping Dogs?

Yes to all, but I forgot to specify between Stronghold and Stronghold Crusaders. Close enough though.

Nope, not Bladestorm either. Much more strategy than that, grand strategy even. Oh and it spans a period of about 700 years (thanks to expansions).

Speaking of Crusaders. Crusader Kings 2 I am guessing.

Friends of Mineral Town?

Yes! :D

At last! I was about to give up!

By the way, I think nobody has guessed my #41:

 # 41: This game belong to a series with many spin-offs, one of which, certainly the most successful one, was launched the year which appears in this game title.

Additional hint: This game was ported to many platforms, including PSX and N64. N64 received an exclusive game of the series, but it only worked with certain peripheral...

Edit: Since here in Europe is day #41, I'm going with my #40 hint:

#40: Last entry of a series that in Japan and the West is known by the name of the first console were the series was released (in each territory). Of course the name of the series is different in Japan and in the West. Also, the name of this particular entry is different in NCTS and PAL territories.

43 – Sid Meier’s Civilization III

Civilization III was my first “empire management” game. After playing several RTS games, focused on resource gathering and military command, I dreamed with a game that would let me to control every aspect of a country. This desire would be later fulfilled with the 5th game on this list but, before that, Civ III was a huge step in that direction. For the first time in my life, I could feel like the real governor of a country, deciding how to enhance my Empire, where to found a new city, what infrastructures should my country have and declare war or signing peace.
