Forums - Gaming - your controversial opinion about "one of the best games ever made"

Ocarina of Time is inferior to every Zelda afterward in at least one category (not including graphics) and inferior to Twilight Princess HD (yes, that specific version) in every category.

Now...COME AT ME!

(Ps: OoT is still great and has held up exceptionally well, but others have just surpassed it, Zelda just has an amazing quality level throughout the series)

Well, that's not really saying much, another Zelda game could be superior in 1 category but OOT could be superior to that game in 9 other categories.
Won't argue your TP HD comment cause it's true and that's the end of it.

Gears of War had widespread acclaim when it was released. I was so bored during the game that I didn't even beat it, and the campaign is not overly long precisely.
Also, GTA games, except for V which I really like. I really digged the changes they did in the gameplay. Being more easy made me more immerse in the world, and less frustrated with the actual gameplay.

Oh and Grand Theft Auto is the single most overrated franchise in all of gaming.

I hate Super Mario Galaxy, not even a real Mario game with "health bars" instead of power-up based life system, the mechanic I enjoy most about the series. Power-ups aren't even a normal occurrence, just a rare limited time only gimmick in a few levels. Crappy and forced Wiimotion controls certainly didn't help either. I don't know why I got SMG2 when it was put on the eShop, maybe I thought it'd be better or maybe my taste have changed in the years since Galaxy 1, plus only $10 so can't go wrong, but lol nope, still gutter trash, gave up four levels in.

Any 3D GTA game. I don't care if it's 3, Vice City, San Andreas, IV or V.

Some may have a decent sp, but most side quests are boring.

- The shooting mechanics are possible some of the worst in a sandbox game.

- Jumping is almost pointless.

- the world is big but lifeless and boring compared to Yakuza, Shenmue and some other sandbox games.

- Combat is pathetic

- Driving and flying is average at best.

It's the sandbox franchise that seems to continually get away with bad mechanics, boring side quests and subpar gameplay, whilst other games in the genre get torn apart for the same things.

RIP Sleeping Doggies. One love.

By miles, one good game, the rest of them are... well, bad imho.

TP is the worst 3D Zelda though

Ocarina of Time is really boring (90% of 3D Zeldas are). The Last of Us is really boring. Shovel Knight is fine (the music is exceptional, tho).

Edit: I will be fair, I've only played like 2 hours of The Last of Us, and since it is "difficult" I didnt advance too much. But I already got all it has to offer... boring stealth shooting on enemies that kill you in one hit. I will try to beat it some day... but my backlog is already big as it is.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Since I've started I might add will continue:

Resistance 3. This game was supposed to be back in form and people praised it for being better than two. I played it and walked away confused.

- The story was lazy and didn't go anywhere. It felt like just another episode.

- No set pieces or amazing boss fights like the second.

- Everything felt dull and the entire art style was depressing.

- No co-op unlike the previous game.

- No amazing moments like the zombie suburb or the cinema in the second game.
