Forums - General - IT'S TIME FOR A DEATH BATTLE!! Hulk vs Doomsday!!

They really need to stop including practical-immortals. Just look at Deadpool and Deathstroke; Deathstroke had him in every category EXCEPT unpredictability and regeneration. But that regeneration was enough to put Deadpool as the winner.

Hell, I think the only time a near-immortal lost was Raiden/Wolverine, but only because Raiden had a serious capable of cutting adamantium and cut Logan's fucking head off.

I will always hate "infinite power" or unkillable heroes and villains. It's just cheap-ass writing.

^This. It's why I hate Superman. The guy is the most OP hero ever.

Though I had no idea that Doomsday was that complex of a character.

Always makes me think of the role-playing chat-rooms that were popular back on AOL. You'd end up with like three or four Goku characters being played by prepubescent boys who'd stay in god-mode constantly.

There's nothing inherently wrong with a character that has infinite power or can't be killed.  They just need to have other flaws or struggles to compensate.  The best recent example I could think of is Doom in Secret Wars.

Superman Prime actually addressed how insane SIlver Age Superman was OP and if he went insane how dangerous he would be to everyone and reality itself.  I thought that story was fine seeing everyone team up against one ridiculously powered character.

I do agree reading month to month I would prefer a more grounded flawed character that makes you wonder if and how they'll succeed in their stories.
