Looking at this thread and seeing so many people not old enough to vote - suddenly a lot of things make a lot of sense now.

And thank god for that. "I voted Trump for the LOLz" is exactly my issue with all these 'get out and vote' campaigns. It should be get EDUCATED ( IE vote for a reason other than the LOLz) then vote - not just go vote.

You don't know how good it feels to see someone else write something like this ;)

That's pretty much why(if I was american) I wouldn't even vote for this joke of an election.

Thats the reason why you should go vote. Your vote might counter some idiot LOLz vote. I voted even though I'm in a red state. I want to make sure my voice is heard not just in the presidential. It needs to be heard in state and local governments.

I don't think Trump is great, but a Trump vote is a vote to say you are done with the "current corrupt politics" which is something that might make more sense then a 3th obama term by voting on Hillary, anyway I don't live in the US so I won't vote.

Most likely I would have just voted for one of the other candidates, even tough they can't win, Hillary is 100% winning today anyway, the media and trumps own mistakes made sure of that.

According to the most recent polls from RCP this is what the electoral map could look like tonight (keep in mind that Trump is only up by .3 points in Florida so that could easily go blue before everything is said and done).

I think NC and FL will go blue. The rest I agree with.

Weren`t you worried a couple months ago that the ultra nationalist right wing people in Austria would get elected? And now you`re berating people for not voting for the ultra nationalist right wing people in America?

Yes, I made a thread about Austria, but I hope you remember that I painted an over the top scenario with Austria and Germany becoming a single country again. On a sidenote, the election results got dismissed due to an improper procedure with the mail votes, then the redo that was planned for September got postponed because of yet another problem (something about bad glue for the mail), and the new date in December might get postponed again because now a fault has been found within the registration process for the mail votes.

As for the USA, I don't think it's as clear here. Trump is the candidate of the Republicans, unlike the situation in Austria where there is a party with a longrunning history behind it. Also, Trump has said many things that he didn't mean seriously in an attempt to get lots of media attention, so his personal political ideologies aren't as clear either.

Trump vs. Clinton can be viewed in different ways. Nationalist vs. globalist or calling out a rigged system vs. embodiment of the rigged system. Regardless of how you view it, Trump is the bad guy, and that's because he wanted to be the bad guy from the beginning. Over here he is portrayed as the devil, but I don't agree with this point of view when his opponent is Clinton who isn't a good person either. The difference is that Trump wants to have the image of a scumbag while Clinton is in fierce denial of being a scumbag. I wouldn't vote anyone if I was eligible to vote (I never go to elections), but if a gun was put to my head and I had to decide between Trump and Clinton, I'd go with Trump as a vote against the American system.

Oh wow, this really bumbed me out =( sad to see that this is where you stand Rol.

Honestly I think they're both terrible candidates, and I'd vote Sanders if he was elected. Still, I'm not American, so it's not my choice. I'd probaby vote Clinton as the lesser evil. Although I'm not sure about her being the lesser evil. Trump is an honest douchebag, I just hope that Clinton won't be a dishonest douchebag xD.

If the choice is between someone who paid corrupt people to do as he said and someone who is in denial about being corrupt, then it's an easy choice to pick the first person.

What makes her corrupt then? So you'd much rather have a potential child rapist governing the country than a politician?

She's like all the other politicians, so she's corrupt by default. That's how the system works.

And yes, even a potential child rapist would be better than a politician, because in the former case we are talking about a possible criminal instead of a confirmed one like in the latter case.

Oh wow.... I guess you don't think highly of either women or people that's not "white". Cool. At least a politician you can trust will uphold the deals the country made with other states, which isn't at all a certainty with Trump. Trump is a loose canon, and that's not someone you ant leading your country, especially if that country is the most powerful one in the world.
