Forums - Gaming - People are hating Infinite Warfare for no good reason. It looks fantastic.

Well IW is terrible, so I think people can be justified to hate on it, especially if those people hating on it are the people who like COD, but don't like the direction that COD has been headed since AW. Honestly I haven't even played Titanfall 2, but if it is anything similar to the first one with lack of content and no campaign, and it would have been better than Infinite Warfare.

Overall all COD is now is an eSports arena shooter made to sell microtransactions, modded controllers, and MTN DEW. Basically if IW didn't put the advanced movement and specialists into the game, it probably would have been a half decent game. I can deal with the future setting, but forcing the setting just to justify the movements and specialists is doing nothing but hurting the game.

With this all said, I got IW+COD4 for $59 from Amazon, roughly $21 cheaper at launch. I can live with a $60 remastered COD4.

Favorite Game Franchises-

Gran Turismo, Forza, Project Gotham Racing, Need for Speed, Burnout, TOCA Race Driver/Race Driver/Grid, Colin McRae Rally/Dirt, Halo, TimeSplitters, Splinter Cell, Gears of War, Borderlands, and Call of Duty.

Let's just say I love racing games followed by shooters and the Xbox One has filled this love.

What counts as a "good reason"?

Shitty multiplayer not a good reason?
Pay to win microtransaction DLC in a $60 game not a good reason?
F2P style grindy unlock system not a good reason?
Locking the MW remaster behind purchase of the $60 turd not a good reason?

I think those are 4 valid reasons.

It's a milked yearly franchise. Is that not enough reason to hate it? :p

That is like hating fifa because it releases every year, you don't need to buy it every year and you can't ignore that the game is better almost every year it releases.

Unlike Fifa, CoD actually has a decent amount of new content each year, completely new maps, new weapons, new campaign, new zombies mode. Fifa can feck off! (imo)

No idea. Just rented it from Redbox. I'll let you know tomorrow.

I'm willing to give it a chance. Loved everything up to MW2, disliked BO, loved MW3, hated BOII, and then gave up. If IW is good maybe I'll give Ghosts and AW a try.

So, how is it?

Still working on the campaign, but I love it. It has a Battlestar Galactica thing going on :)

CoD should be buy-once-play-forever game with yearly 5 hour single player campaign DLC for 15 usd.

I'm 10+ hours into the campaign. It's pretty great. Definitely feels like an evolution of the formula with the hub world and the optional stike and infil missions. If this is what the COD campaigns will be like moving forward, sign me the hell up.
