I'll take dynamic rez anyday over framerate dips.

Whats funny is that to me any dev that prioritizes rez over an at least locked framerate is basically saying they prioritize eye candy over gameplay.

The real question though is this, if they didnt stop the vids, zoom in and point out what you should be looking at, would we have otherwise known?

Yet why not drop the eye candy instead of dynamic resolution. Resolution isn't eye candy, a stable picture > effects.

Agreed.  Framerate is king in my book. 

It's interesting academically to see just how low they had to drop the resolution to ensure a stable 60fps update, (to my knowledge, only one other PS4 game runs at 720p, and only two other Xbone games are sub-HD) but I think they made the right call.

Just wow! Game consoles that can switch to and fro current to last gen performance. Marketing devision have done a fantastic job. Kudos.

now, think how it will run in Nintendo Switch if in XBOX runs at sub 720p... Maybe it goes back to 480p standar definition. Time to sell the Full HD TVs for switch and buy a good old CRT TV
