Laura Kate Dale from Lets Play Video Games may know when the Switch may release. She’s heard from a source that the PAL date is currently set for March 17 – which is the release date for Europe and Australia. The release date won’t be the same every country, but Nintendo intends to ship Switch within the same week. Japan may sell the console a couple days earlier.

The Wii U in Australia released on Nov 30, which is a Friday....... soo who knows!

I actually think March 17 is reasonable, but I think the initial 2 million shipment worldwide will get sold fast so Nintendo should have some back up for the rest of March.
