Doesn't that last point pretty much defeat this hope, considering it's a Nintendo console?

Damn. Foiled again.

We really need a new meme of an angry old guy shaking his fist angrily at Nintendo with a caption "Damn you!"

Ever since release of the teaser I've been sobbing And lamenting one thing. I love the idea of the switch and I'll probably buy one at launch. But there is one thing I haven't gotten over. So far it hasn't been clearly denied but the whole vibe surrounding switch suggests a departure from Wii U.

But does it feature wireless screen tech? If they would integrate wireless screen tech it would be possible to get all the Wii U games with second screen necessity over to switch. I have no clue how much work it would take but bringing over some of the Wii U gems would ease the lack of backwards compatibility and people on the fence about switch would maybe be persuaded to hop onboard more easily.

I know it would raise the costs a bit and probably introduce some screen delay, but as they demonstrated with Wii U the other way around screen streaming can be done with low lag.

How many Wii U games are there that ncessitate the second screen? My guess is between zero and one.

I just hope for a lot of Switch ports from the Wii U.

And it will be the most epic meme ever made.

Hey! They got SONY on my amiibo! Wait a minute. Two great gaming tastes that game great together!

Switch FC: SW-0398-8858-1969

I predict that this Joy-Con will release when Smash 5 hits retail. There will probably be a bundle that comes with the game.

OK, maybe not a necessity from a gameplay perspective, but many support it. Reworking to allow this on the main screen will take more time as just releasing a port.

I actually think this is one of their final secrets.

1) there is a nintendo patent that suggests this is a real thing.
2) just last week nintendo mentioned how NS would have a lot more hardware accessories.
3) it just makes so much sense!

Doesn't that last point pretty much defeat this hope, considering it's a Nintendo console?

Not as much as what you just said.

Eh, if I wanted to use the GameCube controller, I'd rather just have Nintendo reuse the GameCube adapter.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

But what about when you want to play Sm4sh Bros. on the go?

There's the 3DS version.
