So basically it is to get rid of the older PS4's? They should also do it for people who pre order PS4pro on those days :s.

Makes sense. Microsoft is doing the same thing (not COD specifically, but you get a free game with Xbox from retailers from Nov. 4th - 12th). 

Probably would have made more sense just to bundle it with the Slim, but I'm expecting that near the end of December like last year, at least.

Well I assume so cause they say PS4 so I assumed is for the older PS4 cause it is an easy way to get rid of the older PS4's model. People who invest in the pro don't get it...:s.

No, it specifically states you get it free when picking up a PS4 SLIM. :P
