I think the reason this thread is a bad joke is because what its talking about is something that really could actually happen.
All it takes is for Nvidia to make a 2017 Nvidia shield handheld. That's it.
It's like someone making a thread showing some sort of MS secret timeline document saying something about mandatory online from update 00078112217.
Stuff like that is so close to home that they are actually plausible.

The OP literally says that Nintendo will be helping them with it. The reason this thread is a good joke is because it correctly expected people to not read the joke.

...To support their device in this hard fought industry they have joined forces with no other than Nintendo. A company probably best known for their Wii series of devices as well as a popular handheld line of products. Nintendo is set provide the new tablet with the custom made Joystick peripherals as well as a custom OS made for a dedicated gaming device. The marketing will be shared equally between the two powerhouses of gaming. While many companies have tried and failed to break into the console industry, we believe Nvidia is on to something here and with a strong partner like Nintendo and a truly novel concept sure to not just raise a few eyebrows... |
Apparently none of the commentors read the post ;P

Exactly... Although given it is as much Polygon trolling themself with their own incompetence...
It is more like a classic scenario of the blind leading the blind. When they're holding the cure for blindness all along.
Come on people, don't you want to experience NVIDIA's take on hybrid gaming?
Vote for the NVIDIA tablet like me! We're only 15% so far, but still rising!!!

Did you make it up, or did polygon take it down?

Apparently also no one reads comments since there are already a bunch of people getting it but there are still more people coming in not having read anything.
