Source ? Xbone and PS4 cost same in the UK ?

Bundles themselves has little effect in the UK as opposed to how it is in the US as the retailers just end up making their own bundles for the opposite platform, The Fifa 17 + PS4 slim has had a price match of £229 and on quite a few of the big retailers an extra game thrown in same goes with a PS4 slim + BF1 and most people would see them as better value as they get a new physical game to sell for a least a guaranteed £35 rather than a digital copy.

MS done really good with the XONE while the Pro isn't out.

Most average consumers will simply pick up the console which is cheaper and gets free game. Not sure how much gears had a impact though. We need more conclusive numbers and to analyze it.

Definitely PS4 is the better bundle not only in performance but also for value of money. It is impossible to analyze something on assumptions. Where the above bundles most sold ? How much did gears bundle sell? That is why I said we need more conclusive numbers

That's at the moment, the console prices have been weird over the month. Earlier in the month there were loads of PS4 plus FIFA deals for £150 (to get rid of the non-slims), few similar Xbone deals too. Now it's more stable but Xbox had Gears as it's big game while PS4 didn't have an exclusive, just the multiplatforms. Both consoles are pretty much the same. 

Users keep talking about PS4 pro. However, whose to say Microsoft won't make the xbox one cheaper during November or have great deals to sabotage PS4 pro sales? Microsoft is very known to do this. Price matters a lot more in my opinion because of all the casuals.

Pretty much you could of got a PS4 in the Uk a month ago for an effective £109 after you take the £40 price of Fifa 17 around, I doubt we will see it that low again for another 2-3 years.

Also the deals you posted were not only on by GAME Amazon has PS4 slim + Fifa for £232 and a PS4 slim + Titanfall 2 for £227 opposed to Xbox One S + Fifa for £237 and a X1 S + BF1 for £237. ShopTo also offer a Xbox One S + Fifa for £229 and a PS4 slim with Fifa + DOOM for £299(or a few other free games to chose from)

This past month has definitely been a good time to puchase either a PS4 or a Xbox One in the UK and I wonder if the holidays will be even better value and by how much if so.

What do you mean by that? Wii u sales are just what expected  to be due to the imminent release of switch...

Without NX release date announcement and switch disclosure in october, sales  wouldn't be like this! Not that 12-15k would be impressive either, but in comparison with 3.5k, it is way better.

Anyway, Nintendo has also 3ds darwin! Who cares for the current sales of a prematuily killed product...
