I'm new to the front projection market. I have done some research so far and am looking to spend less than $2500.

So far, the Sony VPL- VW50 has peaked my interest, but as I have already mentioned, I'm not exactly knowledgable in this area.

So... does anyone have any suggestions of alternatives?

Is this a good choice?

What type of screen should I get?

Are mounts a must?

Are bulb replacements a huge issue?

Is there a large difference between LCD and DLP projectors?

The area that I will be using it in will be a basement with very little light if this helps any.
