I know that people accuse Nintendo because of their lack of common sense, but do you really think that they are going to waste all the development money and the nvidia partnership to release a product that runs games worse than the wii u? I'll wait for the official details.

This all sounds pretty iffy to me, but if it is somehow true, i assume it'd be PS4/X1 settings running at 540p. That would be an overall technical jump over 720p WiiU titles, if one likely to make my eyes bleed :p

but on a hd tv? that's not even a hd resolution!!

These really don't feel right. A 4x2Gz CPU? That alone would be a severe hit to the Switch's potential 3rd party support, at least on the home-console front.

Wait...4 gigs of ram? Am I reading this right? 1TF? They can kiss strong 3rd party support goodbye.

Yeah, but you can't trust any leak about NX/Switch, all leaks ended up completely false, come on! ^^

The more "reliable" ones ended up completely true. Some chinese hardware manufacturer claimed that NX would use cartridges, iirc. Eurogamer said NX was exactly what it turned out to be. Pokemon Company CEO's description turned out to be true as well. Then we heard some WiiU games were going to be ported to NX from seemingly confident reports. We've seen Zelda, and what looks like a Splatoon port as well. I'm expecting Smash and Mario Maker to join the roster as well.
I don't know about this guy though.

But this info is interesting. We still don't know for sure if the docking station provides any additional processing, which could circumvent this problem when playing ona  TV:
But it looks unlikely judging by the teaser trailer.

That was a joke, my point was that everything until now was already leaked accurately :P

And that's why the "reveal" is also a joke IMO, it just confirms the leaks without saying anything about the real information : price, games and specs.

Not true. Emily debunked.

can you post a link ?

Sorry, I meant Laura Kate Dale. Though re-reading her tweet, she may have been referring to a pic of a dev kit not these specs.

Handheld confirmed if the specs are legit. A powerful handheld at that though.

Hope it's successful so there's the chance for sony to see some viability for a psp3

There's no viability for 2 handheld consoles IMO. Smart phone gaming is the main mobile market. Handheld console is now niche. I don't see a niche market being able to sustain two products.

I hope the TV base unit isn't a mere docking station and that it actually has processing capability to boost the resolution. Should be like the PSVR, which actually does some work and doesn't just receive the image and put it in front of your eye.

Yeah, like i said it doesn't really make sense to me (even if Nintendo somehow thought 540p was acceptable from a new system in 2017, i feel like even the potential PR would be enough to make them avoid the described situation), i was just noting that on paper it would be an upgrade over the WiiU. Practically speaking of course, running a game with PS4/X1 settings at 540p would be pretty silly. It'd be like going somewhere with a beautiful view to take some pictures, then smothering your lens with dirt before taking it

I guess we'll see though.

Final Nintendo hardware previously was weaker than the development kits. Often the development kits could be scaled down to match final hardware. That said this seems pretty legit.

Don't forget the wii u had 3 terrible powerpc 32bit cores designed in the last century. These arm 64bit cores are running almost twice as fast with double the datapaths and there is an extra cpu.

wii u main memory is only 12.8GB/s and the gpu only 176 gflops. There is only 2gb of memory in wii u of which 1gb is for games.

Looking at the figures it looks to be about 3x as powerful overall. Capable of running enhanced versions of 360 and ps3 games on the go and perhaps a little more at home.

I don't quite get this because it looks like the docking unit has tech in it to supplement the Tablet which I thought wasn't the case going by another statement, that image looks more believeable than the Maxwell one though
