So I've been meaning to do this for a while but I haven't played as much GR2 as I would like, but I got the chance to play more yesterday and now I think I can give some good first impressions (also just want to point out that I didn't play the first GR).

There are a lot of things that I like about the game so let's start with those first:

The storytelling: I absolutely love how the story is told in a comic book style, not only because I love comic books but because it fits the characters and the atmosphere of the game so perfectly.

The artstyle: lt's very charming and again it fits perfectly with the comic book style of the storytelling.

The music: not only is the soundtrack great but it also helps you get inmmersed and that's something I appreciate about music in games.

The gameplay: It took me sometime to get used to the mechanics but now that I gotthe hang of it I have a blast flying through the city, gravity kicking enemies and my favorite: gravity sliding. The ground combat is nothing to brag about but it's solid enough.

The sidemissions: one of the things I look foward to in a game are the sidequests, the more the better because (and this is just me) I love doing extra stuff aside from the main story. So the thing that I love about the sidequest in this game is that they have their own stories, sure gameplay wise they are pretty much the same but I don't mind that as long as the story behind them changes. Another thing I love is that the sidequest have sequels and that makes them even more enjoyable to play through.

Character customization: I'm not sure how this was in the first game but in this one is pretty straightfoward and I like that.

The protagonist (Kat): so if my avi is any indication I love characters that help others because is the right thing to do and ask nothing in return. And through the main story and especially the sidequests Kat faces a lot of situations (sometimes even a little unfair) in which she is just happy she can help, and I love that type of kindness.

That's all for the good, now for the stuff I don't like:

Well there's not much actually, really the only thing I have a slight problem with is that because of the mechanics of the game the camera can go crazy and it sometimes makes me dizzy, plus it puts you in some weird angles and it can get a little annoying, but nothing too bad.

Overall I'm loving GR2, if I had to describe in a word I would say it's charming. I'm just mad I didn't get the chance to play the first one before but I'll definitely get back to it.

Play the first one!

Easily the one game (besides Bloodborne) that made me glad I bought a PS4.

Firmware update 4.50 details: http://blog.us.playstation.com/2017/02/03/ps4-system-software-update-4-50-features-detailed/

  • External HDD support (USB 3.0, up to 8TB)
  • Custom Wallpapers: use screenshots you took with the Share button as your background on the home screen
  • Quick Menu refresh
  • Simplified Notification List
  • Post on PlayStation Network Activity Feeds
  • 3D Blu-Rays on PlayStation VR

This isn't mentioned in the Blog post, but apparently the update will allow games to run with a higher framerate on the PS4Pro if the game hasn't received a PS4Pro patch. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=229635785&postcount=314
Should 'fix' a lot of games with an unstable framerate.

Good news.

God knows 500GB is not nearly enough space, I'll probably get a few TBs with how big games are these days (not to mention the patches). Deleting and downloading all the time is annoying.

Haven't played ghost recon in quite some time, think it was advanced fighter last gen.
