Sony is a greedy company.

For many people the $299 is still a lot of money, especially if they're still getting enjoyment out of a 7th gen console. Those devices are great for popular streaming apps and have a massive library of notable games (many active online games). This is why you can still find 7th gen hardware and games at any major retailer. On my friends list I still see a lot of people playing 360 games (BC is helping with that as well).

UHD is certainly an advantage, but I guess people want to downplay it for obvious reasons. Physical movie sales are down, but many people still rent physical movies. I'd like to see UHD movies in the Redbox and consoles can help make that happen.

I can only downplay it for Brazil because I'm yet to find a 4K BD here.

Sure there are people still playing on X360, that is why I said there probably aint a specific game they are waiting, price point is more likely as you said, but on that they shall go to PS4 instead of X1 in the end.

Oh... not all them. Otherwise X1 wouldn't have a viable audience. Maybe some PS4 users will jump to Scorpio due to all that sexy power and its the only console that will truly take advantage of a 4K TV. :-p

BC is going to be a big motivator to stick with Xbox as well. By next year I think its gonna support 500 games and its doing a great job getting major support.

Yep, not all, perhaps not even many. And sure some may migrate from PS4 to X1 (unfortunatelly not many have 4k sets). The only issue I have on that is I have little interest on Xbox first party, but love Sony ones so changing to Scorpio wouldn't be viable and although I have multiple consoles (already bought Wii and X360 to last gen) I don't have enough time to play multiple consoles of the same gen.

Meh... I like what both MS and Sony do in the 1st party arena. Which is why I have both.

Even if I only use my PS4 to complete a few games a year, its worth having for those experiences. Same goes for Wii U, I've really enjoyed the few exclusives I played on it. Frankly, I'll buy any console if it has like 10 games that look intersting and the price is reasonable.

I'm certain X1 is worth it, problem is I don't like FPS and on racing I'm well satisfied with GT to buy a console only for it. Wish I had more time so I could play more and justify a X1S
