Forums - Gaming - Rate my Purchase: Astro A50's for £175

Just got these on sale. Down from €300 to €200 or £175. They're clearing out stock for their next wave of devices.

So how do you rate these headsets?  Did I make a good decision.  Factor in the £175/€200 I paid for them when giving your answer.

I bought them also: paid $250 US instead of $300 when they first came out with PS4ish version. Sorry did not look up exchange rate got to get back to work, but they are really great.

£175 is still a lot of money for a headset. I would never buy that. I beated my record by paying 85 Euros a lil while ago.

Not a bad price. I paid $185 for my Astro A40 TR edition headset last November.

Though I'm not a fan of A50's. I had a pair back in 2011, If it's like the old model, a year from now you'll have to recharge the battery every 3 hours or buy a back up. For that reason and fact that I'd get audio distorion/interference, I'll never buy a wireless headset again.

Hopefully these models don't have that issue.  They do have much more up to date firmware.  If it's not already installed you just do it off your pc. They should arrive by the end of next week.  I'll let you guys know what I think.

I've always wanted a pair of astros but could never justify the money they cost. Tagging for impressions.
